Fun Fact: I used to model in HK before I switched career paths to follow yoga!
Yoga Experience: I have done the physical asana practice of yoga since I was very young. The last four years I have spent extensive time studying the philosophy of yoga! I have graduated from the 250-hour yoga teacher and yoga therapy training in December of 2019, held by the studio. I am also a certified group fitness instructor through NASM!

Fun fact: My santosa (very rough Sanskrit translation: happy place) is riding a horse at sunset in the Griffith Park hills.
I discovered yoga while I was recovering from a surgery about 7 years ago. Yoga was about pranayama and meditation first, for myself and in the ancient texts, and I emphasize that in my teaching. I tried various types of asana styles around Los Angeles for several years before finding a therapeutically-based yoga teacher training at Yoga Jaya with David Adams in 2018.
An individual’s physical and emotional needs are my first priority, and I focus on adapting a class for a client. In movement classes, we start with a breath-based vinyasa flow to warm up, and wind down with yin poses to help release deep tensions. I teach the Yinyasa class, and a very relaxing Yin-Restorative class, along with sessions tailored for private clients. My favorite poses are deep stretches, like malasana (yogi squat) or eka pada rajakapotasana (say that three times fast) (in case you were wondering, that’s king pigeon pose).
I completed my undergraduate studies at USC and am starting a graduate program this summer at LMU in Yoga Studies with a concentration in Yoga Therapy. Bonafide yoga geek! Come find me chatting about asana and anatomy, Sanskrit philosophy, or about healing with Ayurveda.
